The California Prison Industry Authority (CALPIA) is a self-supporting state agency. CALPIA operates over 100 manufacturing, service, and consumable factories at all 35 California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation institutions. CALPIA provides productive work assignments for approximately 7,000 offenders and offers 127 nationally accredited certifications.
